CafePress launches custom iPhone cases

pug iPhone caseWith all of the amazing iPhone apps out there, you can now do things you were never able to do before on a phone. Like strum a virtual guitar on your screen like a fiesty flamenco musician. Or become the next big graphic designer all with the swipe of your finger.

Well, we can help you come pretty close to the latter of those two (sans rose in your mouth for the tango) and we have some great news for you iPhone aficionados out there – CafePress has just launched custom iPhone cases. Our custom cases for 3G and 4G models are both the ultimate way to express yourself and protect your phone too. Pick your passion, and search through a myriad of great designs that fit you and fit your iPhone like a glove. And you can choose from three great colors – white, silver, or be pretty in pink.

When you whip out your iPhone 3G or 4G to snap a photo of your friends, family or even your pet, you know they’ll smile even bigger now with something cool staring back at them from the back of your iPhone…like a tiger. Roar baby. Or a nutcracker who brings the holiday cheer. Maybe he’s telling you its time to start baking those holiday cookies? He’ll help with the walnuts.

Either way, check out our eclectic mix for some great inspiration, or take a stab at designing your own!

Election Re-Cap: Hasta la Vista, Baby.

politics t-shirtsNow that the votes are counted (most of them anyway – a few glitches here and there), I think one issue has been handedly decided: Americans are looking for change. Serious change. The voting public is unhappy with the way thing were, the way things are, and the way things seem to be quickly shaping up as. Which is why so many candidates and issues got the ol’ heave-ho in Tuesday’s mid-term elections.

Hopefully the political machine will wake up and smell the carnage. With more big issues and key races slated for 2012, now is the time to do a reality check and realize that Republican or Democrat alike, we’re all mad as hell and not going to take it anymore.

Let people know exactly how you feel with your bumper sticker and soon, with your vote.

Didn’t See That Coming, Giants.

torture t-shirtA doff of the ol’ ball cap to the San Francisco Giants for winning their first World Series since 1528 (or so it seems). Assembled from a Bad News Bears-worthy rag-tag collection of cast-offs & misfits (except for an ace pitching staff and a young-stud catcher), the Giants surprised everybody with their post-season run. I think they even surprised themselves, although no one is saying as much in their post-game interviews/champagne bath.

You gotta love a team that defies conventional wisdom and still succeeds. Too bad I won’t be able to find tickets to next year’s games, now that they’re darlings of the sporting world. So be sure to shop here at CafePress for San Francisco Giants posters and other baseball-themed gear to honor the champs, because it’s going to be hard to get inside the stadium to score your own.

With the Giants winning in baseball and the New Orleans Saints stunning the football world in last year’s Super Bowl, this may well be the year of the underdog. What’s next? The Maple Leafs in hockey? Browns in football? Maybe even (gulp) the Cubs in baseball? Wouldn’t that be a wake-up call for sports fans everywhere?

Set your alarm for the Super Bowl, and we’ll see what happens in 2011.

CafePress’s Halloween Party – For Younguns and the Young at Heart

SpongebobCafePress loves people who express themselves and show their creativity (that’s where our awesome shopkeepers and community come in!). And the creative juices were flowing, and in some cases, oozing, out of some of our CafePress employees this year at our annual CafePress Halloween party.

There were goodies galore to munch on, a scary haunted house, kid station for ghoulishly grand temporary tattoos and a costume contest.

Batman dropped in after seeing a double rainbow in the sky. He landed on Spongebob Squarepants, but bounced right off due to Spongebob’s buoyancy from his recent trek out of the ocean.

Also on hand were the commander from Halo, and The Shining Twins took home the scariest costume prize. Luckily, I didn’t turn down any long hallways and find them standing at the end.

Kids went trick or treating around the office and had a costume parade to show off their best walking-while-wearing-a-costume skills.

What kind of Halloween costume did you wear this year…scary? Funny? Did you make your own costume, or go store bought?
