What is the link between the nursery rhyme “Mary Had a Little Lamb” and Thanksgiving? An American writer named Sara Josepha Hale. Hale is not only the author of the celebrated nursery rhyme, but also the one to raise a near 30-year campaign to make Thanksgiving a national holiday. She even published recipes for turkey, stuffing, pumpkin pie, cranberry sauce, and much more, of which eventually became the modern day Thanksgiving essentials. Believe it or not, the Pilgrims did not have turkey nor pumpkin pie on their dinner tables during the first Thanksgiving.

It’s getting cold outside.  Time to get all comfy cozy on the couch and watch some movies!  Let CafePress set you up with some throw pillows, blankets, and mugsto keep you nice and warm.
