Health care reform: a big f$#%ing deal
Barack Obama signed the much-debated health care reform bill into law yesterday. The signing of the bill was enthusiastically embraced by Vice President Joe Biden, who rang in the new law by excitedly pumping the President’s hand and whispering, “This is a big F%$ing deal!” into his ear. In front of an open mic. On live television. This isn’t actually the first time that Biden has dropped the F-bomb in front of an open mic, nor is it the first time that someone has made a T-shirt about it.
Indeed, as with so many political gaffes (Jesse Jackson, Rick Perry, Joe Biden in 2008), the CafePress community wasted no time in gleefully creating various Biden F-bomb T-shirts to commemorate the profane occasion.
The President had no comment on the Vice President’s excitable potty mouth. It would seem, though, that Press Secretary Robert Gibbs agrees with the sentiment, as evidenced via a Tweet that reads, “And yes Mr. Vice President, you’re right…”
As opponents to the health care law have already started to file lawsuits against it, perhaps the one thing that both parties do agree upon about health care is that the new reform package is indeed a big f@#$ing deal. For our part, we award Joe Biden a Fantasy T-Wearer Award today, with the black F-bomb T-shirt, at left.
