Welcome to the coolest sleepover in the sky. Lufthansa wants you to get some sleep on that overseas flight, and what better way to say “night night” than with a pillow fight to tire you out. Just check out this video.
Michelle Obama took a private trip to 2010 World-Cup-champion Spain this past week with younger daughter Sasha. They missed Mr. Obama’s 49th birthday, but met Spanish King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia, and took in the beauty of Spain’s cities, beaches and culture. All this talk of Spain and now I’m hungry for paella and churros con chocolate.
Lollapalooza music festival was held in Chicago this past weekend, with a huge list of talented bands and musicians to boot. And Lady Gaga went crowd surfing. Oh, Gaga, yawn…how ordinary for someone who trots about town in latex cat suits and icicle shoes.
The third episode of Mad Men season 4 was both funny and sad (Here’s a recap of last week). We learned that Don’s longtime best friend and confidant Anna Draper has cancer, and doesn’t even know (her sister is keeping it from her, out of compassion? On the fence about that). The look on Don’s face when he knew he’d be seeing her for the last time was so heartbreaking.
On a lighter note, after Don decided to forgo Mexico and go back to New York, he found a dejected Lane at the office and they went on a man date that included ample amounts of drinking, a funny scene with a steak, pretty ladies and awkward “morning after” conversation. What was your opinion of this week’s episode?
Cheers to a great upcoming week!
